Here`s a nice carved Chinese stone seal. It features a mythical beast facing left atop a rectangle base. The base has four character mark flanked on both sides by chilong. The mottled honey caramel colored stone measures 1 7/16" long X 13/19 wide X 2 1/2" high. It`s in excellent condition with a smooth and worn patina from age and use with minor chips on the edges of the block. It`s a fine and decorative Chinese period example.
