I inherited this statue from a family member. I used to collect chinese dragons but sold them all. I kept this one because of its uniqueness. I have never been able to fing anything like this anyw to tell my what this was. A gentleman at an antique store was extremely intrigued by it but couldn't tell me more than "it's definatly old" and "The gold is, real gold". The gold was tested and yes he was right. I think this item dates back to the 18th century by its colors and style. I am not sure.I know that at the auction w it was purchased by my family member it had a perceived value of $1500.00 by the auctioneer at the time(over 15 years ago). I need money during these hard times so I am selling it whether I want to or not. Measures about 17" long. HAPPY BIDDING Shipping $30.00 includes insurance This item has been unofficially identified as being 18th century by a former appraiser.
