Chinese Clear to Cut Ruby Red Cameo Snuff Bottle

This rare unmarked Clear to Cut Ruby or Cameo Glass Snuff Bottle was purchased at a recent estate sale. The ownerâe(tm)s parent had listed this on their antique insurance manifest as an Early Chinese Ruby Red Cut Snuff Bottle, but since the piece is not marked the family was unsure of the true maker.

The snuff bottle is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. The cut glass is clear and vibrant in color without cloudiness or water deposits. The red glass top stopper is in good condition. T is one small tiny spot on one side of the bottle. While the sides of the bottle are clear glass the front sides with the etching have frosted glass. I have not cleaned the bottle.

The snuff bottle with stopper is 2 Â¼ inches tall and the base is 1 Â½ wide.
