Chinese Couple Clay Kids Figure in Red-GOOD FORTUNE !!! Clay Figurine Zhang is a folk painted sculpture popular in north.It was originated in the late years of Qing Dynasty by Zhang Mingshan who was from Tianjin.He combined painting ,Beijing Opera, folk xylograph and so on with the traditional clay sculpture art to form his own genre.The artworks enjoy the fame all over the work and were selected to many international exhibitions and awarded laurel for many times.It stands first place in all kinds of Chinese folk artworks and becomes one of the national treasures. This piece was sculptured by Mr Zhang Yu, the descendant of the sixth generation of Clay Figurine Zhang who was born in 1978 in Tianjin.He graduated from Tianjin Art Seniror High School in 1996, and then went to make an on-the-spot investigation on the sculpture artworks of the past dynasties for half a year along the Silk Road from Tianjin to Xinjiang.After coming back to Tianjin, he opened Zhangyu Art Workshop which is current Old Well-known Clay Figurine Zhang Paint & Sculpture Workshop.He was the curator of Tianjin Clay Fingurine Zhang Art Gallery from 2001 up to the present.The main artworks include "Tea Shop","Zhong Kui","Xue Baoqin Search Plum" and so on for about 1000 pieces,among them , "Tea Shop" was collected in Chinese Art Gallery,other works were collected
