From the Hudson Valley of New York comes this lovely Chinese export hand-carved wood figure of a man/scholar perched on rock in yoga meditation. Lovely fine detail makes this piece most attractive. Overall condition is excellent other than a small chip to his eyebrow and a professional repair to a foot. Age cracks are to be expected of a piece dated this old. As found. Take note to how lifelike his facial expression is. What one can expect of fine period craftsmanship. Measuring just under 11" tall by 3.5" wide and 6' deep.
