WOW !! What a beautiful Chinese screen. This is out of a North shore Chicago estate from a collector of Chinese antiques. This screen is huge, 6 panels that each measure 16" wide x 72" tall. Features carved stones in the form of birds and floral background. I do not know the age but my guess would be early 1900's but please judge for yourself. Overall the condition is very nice but being old there are a few defects. See the last two pictures, the beak is missing off one bird and the tail is missing off of another. The black lacquer is in excellent condition with minor hairline cracks here and there. The back is painted with gold flowers, insects etc. This is available for pick up in Arlington Heights Illinois or I can ship it via greyhound to your nearest station. It will have to come in two boxes and the shipping will be $225.00. This is very heavy ! Due to the size and expense of shipping, this is being sold as is with no returns. Please feel free to inspect in person should you be in the area. Note in the pictures you might see some white dots, this is the Styrofoam from packing them and brushes right off.
