A China Chinese lacquered wood large table cabinet ca. last quarter of the 19th century. Very finely painted with allegorical and genre scenes of the daily life of the ladies of the Imperial Court. Side panel and bottom panel adorned with phoenix and other birds and a multitude of flowers and fruits. Opens into 4 compartments with 2 inner drawers. Nice age to the surface and vibrant color in the decoration making this an extremly desirable antique decorative item. Measures 32" high X 16 1/4" wide X 6 1/2" deep with some losses to feet and top corner and a chip and t but otherwise EXCELLENT condition considering its age and origins.
