CHINESEMILITARY POLICE KNIFE . very unusual . . . blade slides out of sheath/handle (notspring-loaded). PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA. The blade is double edged carbon steel 5 5/8" long (very sharp),overall length open 9 3/4", closed 6 5/8". The tang is stamped N08818883 under a star. OD Green Plastic Sheath Handle with RED Star in a Blue & Gold Shield on handle ,finger guards are 1” X 2” of galvanized steel . There are 2 buttons on the sheath; lower one releases blade to open while tip cap releases and is removed, upper button is pushed to retract the blade and replace the tip cover. Swivel steel belt attachment on back of sheath. Picture #6 is from a Russian knife collector web site, sorry . . . I can't read Russian either. VINTAGE, RARE, NEW, bought 25 years ago and stored in my safe.
