Medical reasons has forced me to sell my mother's very old Mud Men Collection, which I inherited .

I believe pictures are worth a thousand words, I have provided several.

I'm not a mud man expert, researching on the internet, found this information. Originally mud man were made from clay found on Buddha Maintain, with the exception of the popular water carriers which was made in Jiwah, located near Hong Kong. Different types of clay used in the production of these little people, accounted for the difference skin color. The pieces were pasted together, scraggly white beards were applied and hand painted. Foreheads were lined with wrinkles, holes provided nostrils and ears and indents were made for nails.
