Chinese white marble Buddha Statute Head, Stone Carving

This Buddha head is carved from a piece of beautiful white marble. I was told by the dealer that I got it from that it is very old but it will take an expert to determine the approximate age. This piece seems to show some age except on the bottom as it was probably cut off of a full statue. That is what I was told the peasants would do to carry them out of the mountains and valleys w they found them so as to conserve weight. The piece probably came from a Mongolian area. I think this is quite a find so bid to win. The head is approximately 6" tall and 4" wide. This piece weighs several pounds so I will combine shipping should more than 1 item be purchased. A one time $5.00 charge will apply for boxing and handling with actual shipping charges.
