You are viewing a slice of CHINESE WRITING STONE. This slice of Chinese Writing Stone has white "characters" on a deep green background. For those of you who are curious, Chinese Writing Stone is composed of light colored phenocrysts (crystals) in a basaltic background . It polishes and cuts easily. The slab measures roughly 5.0" by 4.25" at its widest points and is 1/4" thick. It is a good, solid slab with no apparent fractures. This slab has been pictured wet to show color and pattern better.
