This solid mahogany corner cupboard has wonderful details and proportions. The small size makes it unique and desireable. The cabinet requires only 24" from the corner to the outside of the wall. Notice the handcarved flame finial and the arched pediment and bold cornice. There are reeded quarter colulmns on either side of the thickly moulded and multi paneled double doors. The doors have their original lock and key. Inside are 3 shelves with plate grooves. Notice the base of the corner cabinet. There is a handcarved rope or gadrooned carving along the front with an acanthus leaf above each finely carved ball and claw foot. The finish is original and has a wonderful patina. There is a partial label on the back which I cannot completely make out. There is a reference to an address in Germantown, Philadelphia.
