Estate Find! Key Wound Brass Clock Cho Moore Ipswich Chain Run 4 Legs 14 1/2" Tall x 5 3/4" Square Front Face 6 1/2" Diameter This is a lovely older brass key wound clock. The inside gears are run by chain. It does still operate when wound. Three of the sides open. Two of the panels over the dome are engraved. From what I can tell it says, "The Gift of Colmel, The Lord Lovat & Officers of the Inverness-shire Militia" and "To Henry J Knight Mayor and Adjutant 1885". Not sure if that is the actual year of the clock as t are some screws used to attach the decorative pieces that don't appear to be that old. It is definitely a conversation piece. Is it or isn't it?
