CHOICE AU/BU 1900 SILVER DOLLAR SUPER SLIDER ! Here's a gorgeous 1900-P Morgan with sharp eye appeal. All my listings include a good view of every coin - so you know exactly what you are bidding on or buying. You get to see the details of each side....and can therefore make an informed decision on whether the coin fits your collecting needs. The coin shows limited circulation (if any), with bold hairlines and nice chest feathering on the eagle. The fields are outstanding as are the rims. It has an attractive look, with original luster and a silvery gray-on-white color; this surface is natural....never cleaned or polished....and that adds value. Silver is surging up in the price and there are lots of people realizing that the government is going to print away and spend until the dollar falls far below current levels. It's the only way they can manage the massive debt...monetize it away. A few brief words of wisdom for all the many new Morgan collectors:1. look closely at any coin you're considering placing a bid on and if you can't tell the condition of the coin just pass (another will come along with better views that enables you to see clearly) ; stay away from any item you are suspicious of (such as a Morgan shipped from China; that's the source of most fakes). In fact, don't ever buy a silver dollar that's shipped from China. Period. 2. avoid buying a Morgan in a holder that isn't graded by a top service; otherwise you won't be able to sell it one day. Don't let the high grade on the suspect holder fool you into thinking it's anything other than a polished AU/XF because that's almost always what it is and the line about it being a BU/MS/UNC/GEM/ESTATE is an attempt to deceive you into overpaying. If you don't think I'm right then join PCGS or NGC and send the coins to them for reholdering. I assure you they will come back as cleaned; NGC will note such on the holder and says it has AU or XF details and PCGS will just put it in a "Genuine" slab (a coin guaranteed cleaned). Only buy certified coins that were graded by PCGS and NGC; if a seller on here cons you into buying a pig with lipstick on it then there's nobody to blame but yourself. Notice that most of the scammers don't allow you to see the coin's true condition. Collecting cleaned coins in overgraded slabs is NOT collecting....it's called "being taken advantage of" and most of the people who get duped into buying that garbage are new collectors. You can check the feedback left for those sellers and see that much of it is done by people who are new on here or believe what they see (hoping if the holder says MS66 then "hey, maybe it's MS66 or 65 at the worst"). Baloney. It's likely AU at best. That's a fool's game. It's the same as letting the fox count the chickens. 3. don't overpay for shipping; in fact get it sent free where possible and all other things are equal; you'll wind up with more coins in your collection. 4. never polish your coins; don't clean them or alter the surface; treat every coin with respect and careful handling. Don't dip them in anything or apply any type of paste, polish or solution to them. 5. Don't waste your effort on copy coins or replicas; collecting them is a waste of time and money. Nobody wants or buys (or will ever want to buy) a Morgan that isn't really a Morgan. Finally, accumulate all the Morgans your coin budget allows. Over the coming years, we're going to see silver soar in value. It rose more than 80% in 2010 but that's just the beginning. The day will come when silver is so high and silver dollars are in such demand that they are cost prohibitive (which is the time to sound the alarm and do some selling) but until then add to your Morgan holdings while you can still do so affordably . A sharp BU Morgan like this can increase way above your original cost in this auction. Check my other Morgans and even some gorgeous Peace silver dollars; you'll find a wide variety here each and every week and my policy is FREE S...
