This is a game-used AUTOGRAPHED Kansas City Monarchs (Negro American League) throwback home uniform # 17 worn by former KANSAS CITY ROYALS' infielder, CHRIS GETZ , in a Major League Baseball game, August 24, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind uniform made expressly for the MLB game between the Washington Nationals who wore uniforms styled after those worn by Negro League legend, JOSH GIBSON and the 1937 Homestead Grays, and the Kansas City Royals who wore uniforms styled after the 1942 Kansas City Monarchs. This professional quality baseball uniform features a large, old school design, "MONARCHS" on the jersey front in blue on red stitched lettering and stitched number(s) on the back. The classic heart shaped "KC" patch is also stitched on the left sleeveThis is a really neat old school style uniform made of modern (light weight) fabric. It was made by AIS and carries the tagging on the tail of the jersey and back of the pants. The jersey is size 46 and may be authenticated through the MLB Authentication Program with hologram # EK 818527. The authentication number can be verified on-line at /mlb/authentication. The pants, size 34 waist, are made of the same fabric and have navy blue and red trim and red button down pocket covers and belt loops.
