Christian was involved in an auto accident on October 7, 2008. He left behind a daughter and wife. We share in this loss with Christian’s father, Gerhard and his mother, Hermine. Christian Nesvadba was born to paint. His eye for color, movement and mood are exquisite, and his riotous Impressionist flowers are only beginning to receive the attention they merit. Christian Nesvadba was born in 1977 in Vienna, Austria , into a family with an artistic heritage for several generations. Soon after starting in regular school, h is talent for drawing was recognized by his professors and he changed to a school specializing in Drawing and Engineering. That, however, was too technical for the young man and he decided to devote himself to a more artistic career. His father, Gerhard Nesvadba, the well known and highly successful landscape artist , was his first tutor. Christian Nesvadba’s paintings were done on his father’s easel , but while in drawing he could learn a great deal from his father , in terms of his color-sense , he very quickly developed his own style - bold , fresh and rather vibrant. Christian Nesvadba travels extensively, photographing flowers in every light, every season, and every arrangement. He doesn't copy from his photos, but uses them to springboard into his own brilliantly expressionist world, w function fuses with form and color is everything. Nesvadba's paintings nearly explode with reds and startling yellows, casually arranged against beds of cooler greens. These are not coolly precise botanicals, but bold, vibrant statements of life that will continue to be extremely collectable. His first major award came at age 20 when he won the very prestigious Salzburger Kutlturfonds - Prize in 1997 . In 1998 he had two One-Man shows, the first in Salzburg and the second in Linz. He enjoyed a One-Man-Exhibition at the renowned Galerie Otto in Vienna in 1999 and made his US debut at the New York Art Expo in 2000. I PURCHASED THIS PIECE AT AN ART GALLERY IN NAPLES, FLORIDA. THE VERY REPUTABLE "SHAW GALLERY" HAD THIS BEAUTIFUL PAINTING HANGING IN THE GALLERY AND AFTER ONE LOOK I WAS MESMERIZED. I HAVE NEVER HAD ART AFFECT ME THE WAY THIS OIL PAINTING DID. WHEN I LEFT THE GALLERY, I COULD NOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS PAINTING AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL COLORS AND THE ALMOST ABSTRACT CHARACHTER ABOUT IT. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION I LEARNED OF CHRISTIAN AND HIS FATHER AND THEIR AUSTRIAN BACKGROUND AND HOW YOUNG HE WAS AND HOW HE CAPTURED FLOWERS IN A WAY I HAD NEVER SEEN. I HAD TO GO BACK AND PURCHASE THIS PAINTING. I IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT IT HOME AND HAVE ENJOYED IT FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS. THE ONLY REASON I AM PUTTING THIS UP FOR SALE, AND VERY REGRETFULLY, IT THAT I AM MOVING TO A SMALLER PLACE AND THIS PAINTING IS A LARGE PAINTING. THIS IS NOT A PAINTING TO "STORE", IT IS ONE FOR DISPLAY AND TO BRING JOY TO ALL WHO HAVE THE HONOR OF SEEING THIS IN PERSON. BEING THAT CHRISTIAN NESVADBA PASSED AWAY OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR AND THAT HE WAS SO YOUNG, HIS WORK IS VERY LIMITED. HE ONLY HAD ABOUT 11 YEARS OF HIS "WELL RESPECTED" CAREER. AND WHAT IS OUT T IS IT. I HAVE LOOKED AND LOOKED AT GALLERIES ALL OVER THE WORLD AND ALMOST EVERYTHING I HAVE FOUND IS SOLD. ANYTHING I HAVE FOUND THAT MAY BE FOR SALE AND IT IS SO FEW, ARE NOT NEAR THE SIZE OF THIS PAINTING. THIS PAINTING IS 39.5" X 39.5" WITHOUT THE FRAME. WITH THE FRAME IT IS 51" X 51" THE FRAME IS A GORGEOUS MUTED GOLD BRUSHED WOOK FRAME AND IS FAIRLY SIMPLE AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES.
