The Phantom of the Opera Christine's Don Juan "Point of No Return" Handcrafted Costume Left: movie original. Right: reproduction The reproduction is shown on a dress-form that is covered in white fabric, which made it a little difficult to see the chemise details, but t are better pictures below. T are a lot of photos on this listing, but please be patient while they are loading. They are worth the wait! This item will be made in your size, according to your measurements and specifications. Allow 4 weeks for construction after measurements and payment are received. Christine's gypsy style costume from the 2004 movie production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera is a Phantom fan favorite. I will painstakingly create this reproduction to match the details of the movie's costume in your size. (I am showing the reproduction next to photos of the movie original for comparison of the two only.) This costume includes: a skirt, a hip scarf, an under-bust bodice with flowers and laces, a lace chemise with attached shawl, a fully boned Victorian corset, and a rose for the hair. Using professional techniques, I craft this costume with finished seams in quality fabrics and materials, including gold-finish, brass grommets, which are expertly set and extra durable. The skirt has an elastic waistband for ease of fit. Both layers of fabric are hand dyed. The lining is 100% cotton muslin; the outer layer, iridescent organza. Measuring 124" wide and 28" deep at the point, the hip scarf, made of sheer black organza, is airbrushed with gold, metallic paint and adorned with gold sequins. Victorian in style, the corset is heavily boned with steel spring boning, including on each side of the grommets for extra stability. In addition, t is a center front busk for extra support. This is made from 100% cotton and lined in a heavier 100% cotton fabric for strength. The edges and bone casings are self-bound in matching fabric. If you were to custom order this style of corset alone, you could end up paying hundreds of dollars. Ordering it as part of this costume is more economical, and because it is made as a separate piece, you can wear it with many different costumes! The under-bust bodice is made from burgundy damask with a floral pattern and lined in matching dupioni silk. It has 5 center front seams which match those seen in the movie's original costume. The bodice is boned at the center front, on the sides, and along-side the grommets, so that its shape is maintained. It is trimmed at the bottom in antique gold lace and sequins for added sparkle. Measuring a full 5" wide, the rose comes with a clip so you can easily attach it to your hair. The flowers on the bodice are detachable for your convenience. The chemise is made of a lace which has a slight amount of stretch to it and is hip-length in style. As in the original version, the lace shawl is attached at the center front and center back of the chemise and is worn over the shoulders.
