IN THE MEADOW WE CAN BUILD A SNOWMAN
Hi Everyone! This is one of those pieces that is going to look great for the center of your table. The colors are just great! This table runner has been HANDMADE by the seller! It measures approximately 35" x 13". The front has been made from the a quilt shop Brushed cotton tone on tone homespun. Brushed cotton feels just like flannel and is soooooooooooo soft! Each piece was then individually cut by HAND from quilt shop fabrics, and meticulously HAND appliqued with a blanket stitch. The snowflakes, and all of the detail has been HAND embroidered. I have chosen warm and natural batting which will give your table runner a soft, antique look and a nice drape. All of my stitching is done on top of the warm and natural so that your stitching will stand out! I then heavily HAND quilted your table runner using a primitive running stitch. I have chosen a deep green and black homespun for the backing of your piece, while a 100% quilt shop cotton that is a barn red crackle with cream stars scattered throughout for the edging. My edging is double thickness (french seam) and applied by HAND also. I know it is difficult in these times to find high quality, handmade items. My items are all HANDMADE by me, one at a time. I take great pride in the quality of my work. I pay attention to detail, and I do not take shortcuts! My pieces are entirely HAND quilted and HAND appliqued. I do not use a machine for either. Each one of my quality pieces is designed to be a family heirloom, to be passed with pride from generation to generation. I know it takes more time to HAND quilt, but this is what TRULY makes an heirloom piece. Careful attention to these details has provided me with feedback from around the world thru satisfied and repeat customers.....An assurance of quality work. You will not be disappointed. Please note that the starting bid on my auction in no way reflects the amount of labor in the creation of each piece. Please Note: I have received a number of questions and comments lately, so I have decided to add this additional information. If you are looking for HANDMADE items, PLEASE read your auctions carefully. A number of sellers will use the terms stitched in place with a blanket stitch, individually stitched on, quilt applique, etc. Unless the seller says it was HAND stitched.....More than likely it was done with a machine. Also pay attention to the quilting process. If your seller is omitting to tell you how the piece was quilted, it also is likely that it was done by a machine. The time involved in HAND work is immense. And sellers such as myself are proud to let you know this. My best suggestion to you is to email any seller and ask if you are in doubt. I recommend that you never wash your beloved quilts, etc. in a machine or dry in a dryer. Even though I use quilt shop quality cottons, threads, batting, etc. it is best not to do this. T are many sites on the internet to confirm this, and explain in more detail how to take care of your quilts. You should hand wash, line dry, or lay flat to dry. You may always press with an iron. I know it is tempting to throw items in the washer when we are sooooo busy, but this is not a good idea. I suggest professional cleaning on all of my wool items. Now for the boring stuff!
