I am putting up for auction a simply great Antique ,hand carver Putz,consisting of 17 figures.I don,t know very much at all about the Putz,it was in an attic at a very old house.The figures are hand carved by Elvie Kempton according to writing on the storage carton.T are several dates on the box for different reasons I suppose.The oldest that I can find is 1954,the latest is 1969,It looks a lot older.The set consists of The Baby Jesus,Mary,Joseph,Three Wisemen,Three Sheppards,Three Camels,Two Sheep,three Donkeys,and the Manger with trees ect.It measures 24 inches long,8 inches wide,the people figures range from 3 1/2 inches to 4 3/4 high,the animals range from1 inch to 2 inches high- 2 inch to 4 inches long.For its age it is in very good condition.If you are a collector or just want a great piece of Christmas art,this is for you.I see very little damage,some needles are missing from the trees,Please feel free to e mail me for any questions. The shipping and packing will be $12.00,it may seem a little high,but this item is going to need some serious packing as it seems a little fragile.Insurance is optional $5.00. thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
