This is the Metropolitan Museum of Art Poster "CHRISTO AND JEANNE CLAUDE "THE GATES". Exhibition in Central Park from April 6 - July 25, 2004. Measures 22 1/2 X 42 inches on very heavy stock. Has the Metropolitan Museum of Art and all the information listed on the poster (when printed, dates of exhibition, etc). The poster is a copy of a drawing in two parts done in 2002. The original drawing is pencil, charcoal, pastel, wax crayon, technical data, and aerial photograph on paper. Christo, American, born Bulgaria, 1935. This is the poster of that drawing with plans, map of Central Park where the orange gates were to be placed etc. This is no longer available in the Met Store - I think it was probably a limited edition only for the exhibition. Perfect condition with no creases, holes, tears - just a tiny mark which I have shown in the last photo. Any light spots in photos are reflections. Like new. The color combinations of Black, White, Greys and Orange are very striking. Will look fabulous displayed in a frame. Please ask all questions as this is a final sale auction.
