This is a lovely set of old Christofle e Cie silver plate dessert spoons and forks in their original box.Christofle France were one of the first to make quadruple plate silver.The company is very prestigious and is in existence today in the finest shopping sreets in the world.Old Christofle is hard to find.These are heavy and have the wonderful patina of old European plate.Each spoon and fork is marked with the Christofle mark as well as the scales which is their trademark.The box has dark burgundy suede inside which shows its age and is marked inside a gold cartouche Christofle e Cie man re D'orfevrerie a Paris.Each spoon and fork is 7 and a quarter inches long;the pattern is simple and elegant with a little ornamentation at each end.
