CHRYSOTILE Asbestos King Mine Salt River Canyon Gila County , Arizona Golden-brown to olive green to white, dull to chatoyant elongated and fibrous crystals and crystalline mass. From a classic Arizona locality that hasn’t been worked in decades and is no longer accessible. This material was collected in the 1920’s. It was recently acquired from an old miner and was still wrapped in newspaper dated 1927. This is a superb quality specimen – definitely old-time stuff! Complete locality information is on the included specimen label. A nice display specimen that measures approximately 1.4 x 1.8 x 7.3 cm.
