< This is a wonderful big chunky necklace, made in Taxco in the late 1980s at the earliest.It is a bold piece wonderful for many occasions. There is lots of hand work in this heavy well made piece. Dimensions & weight: It is 17 inc hes around the neckline when closed - so fit s like a 17 inch necklace. It's 1/2 i nch wide at the back and just shy of 1 1/2 inches wide center front. It is 4mm or .157 inch thick and weigh s 124 grams or 4.37 ounces - all sterling. Hallmarks: 'Mexico 925 TC-100 '. This is a hallmark for GCV , noted in Bille Hougart's Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. Condition: E xcellent v i ntage condition with little wear noted . The clasp works perfectly.
