WWII 2 piece Sterling combat infantryman badge. I obtained this piece from the same veteran's estate auction as the embroidered version of this same badge. Look no further. This piece is fantastic. The 2 piece CIB is considered an early version of this badge. It is essentially an expert infantryman badge with a separate wreath that slides onto the existing posts. This method of construction would guarantee all stock of expert infantry badges could be awarded as the wreaths representing combat service could simply be manufactered and partnered with an existing badge. What I think is great about this piece is that t is a nice large raised sterling mark, sterling clutches, 100% blue paint, and a beautiful patina. I will be selling many combat infantryman badges to include an embroidered version and a pinback expert infantryman badge. Some great oldies coming out of storage so make sure to check all my auctions.
