It sounds as good as it looks. Great depth, tone and sustain.NOW IS THE TIME TO GET ONE EARLY FOR XMAS....Treat yourself to a slice of "Americana"I have been a craftsman and guitar builder for years. I found my love for Cigar Box Guitars only in the last 10 years. I set out to be among the best in building these guitars in the UK, with value for money. Also as a musician I have toured the UK and the USA along with Europe. In 2006 the BBC did a short documentary on me and my music whilst touring and gigging in New York. Before starting to build cigar box guitars (CBGs) I did a lot of research in the States and also here in the UK. It was quite simple....to build Cigar Box Guitars that not only sounded great but would also last a lifetime. I have stripped many guitars back to the bare bones and rebuilt them to make them sound as good as they could ever possibly be. It seemed a natural step to build my own. It is in my interest and of course your interest, for me to offer a quality service. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please contact me first before leaving any negative feedback. Please remember these are used Cigar Boxes so some may have some minor marks or irregularities. Although this cigar box guitar is in pretty much mint condition. Please remember, its very easy to take a nice photograph of a cigar box guitar. I would never personally buy a guitar without hearing it first. I have built many cigar box guitars over the years and I strive for near perfection. The looks are important and the sound is everything. My builds have both. for quality of craftsmanship. I use a unique in box bracing system which give my guitars a great sound, they have a lovely depth and clarity of tone which I have spent years defining. Buy with confidence. These are beautiful sounding cigar box guitars. Please check out the video below This is being played through a small 5 watt amp with some reverb.:Unique inside box bracing system.:20 medium nickel frets with fret markers. (frets are non glued, hand installed one at a time): Marten long scale (25.5) for depth and tone. Total length 34.5in.: Floating brass bolt bridge and nut. : Through body neck construction.: Strong built neck comprising of solid slow grown blue pine with poplar hardwood fretboard. Beautiful grain running through both.: 4 Brass sound holes. : Volume control. : Lovely rounded neck for easy playing and speed.: The neck and action of the strings are set up for easy finger playing or slide, or switching between the two with no fret buzz.: Smooth open mother of pearl keys for tuning. Holds in tune wonderfully. : 3 separate coats of Polyurethane applied not just for looks but also for good protection.: Strings are Phosphor bronze wound. .39 .30 .23 : This is tuned to GDG but any tuning is possible.: High quality Piezo pick up installed under bridge.: Chicken head volume knob with a smooth tight action.: Heavy duty Neutrik shaft input with 500KOhm volume pot. : This guitar is very easy to play and sounds great plugged in or acoustically.
