We like this item and find that it is hard to categorize. It is similar in design to a cigar case in the manner in which it has a telescoping style method for opening/closing (we sell several cigar cases and if you would like to see one for comparison sake However, this is larger and more typical of the size of a small travel humidor and it is certainly well-suited to protect cigars during travel. On the other hand, it resembles a presentation case one would use on special occasions in that this case certainly would serve as a case worthy of presenting special cigars for others to admire and/or enjoy. There are six (6) cigar beds in this case and "bed" is a good description of these removable Spanish cedar carved blocks, which provide a safe and attractive rest for cigars up to a 60 ring gauge size. They really cradle and protect each individual cigar. The two Spanish cedar carved cigar beds are removable from the case. Each of the two beds holds three cigars. A black humidifier is included and built into the rear of the case behind the cigar beds. Remove the two cigar bed pieces to access the humidifier. This case is covered in a black vinyl material the distributor refers to as "PVC Leather". We see a lot of this in item descriptions and it always makes us laugh. It either is leather or it is not, and this is not leather. However, this material does not have a cheap appearance. It looks like it could be leather and one might be hard pressed to know it is not. The interior of this case is lined in kiln-dried Spanish cedar. Again, a black cigar shaped humidifier is included. However, we recommend upgrading the humidifier of any travel humidor with the new DryMistat tube. DryMistat tubes do not leak as can be the case if a traditional humidifier, such as the one included with this purchase, is overfilled. In our opinion, DryMistat is a newer and superior technology for a travel humidor.
