VINTAGE 1950's CLOCKWORK WALTZING FIGURESCINDERELLA and PRINCE CHARMING MADE IN ENGLAND BY WELLS OF LONDON An super original example of the novelty mechanical waltzing figures of Cinderella and Prince Charming produced by permission of Walt Disney from the Wells / Wells Brimtoy factory (Ref. No.9/19) of post war manufacture c1954. Prince Charming comes in a dark blue uniform with gilt trim whilst Cinderella is dressed in a pink ball gown. Both plastic figures come in good order. The model is fitted with a clockwork mechanism concealed within Cinderella's ball gown. Mechanism is in good working order but does not have a key Box is also complete and in good condition for its age. Thanks for looking. Good luck. Clockwork drive operates two tinplate rotating discs, one to each side, which provide the driving motion, the figures move in a straight line for about 30cm, stop and rotate for a couple of turns before continuing in a straight line once again and so it continues until the mechanism winds down. Dimensions : Measures some 12.5cm in height. Overall a good early example of this mechanical tinplate toy from the Wells factory.
