The cameo is absolutely beautiful and very large. It measures 43mm x 53mm (apx 1-3/4 x 2 inches) and made of 10K yellow gold. It is set in an ornate engraved bezel and can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant. I estimate the actual cameo to be 35mm x 45mm. The cameo dates from the early 1920’s. There are a couple of places on the gold surrounding the cameo that needs to be straightened slightly. It’s very minor but I wanted to mention it. The Cameo is stunning and the hand carving is very detailed. The bezel feels substancial and heavy but I have no way of knowing the weight of the gold. You can find the 10K gold stamp on the clasp.
