Staffordshire heavyly glazed pearlware tea service dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is decorated with deep cobalt on an earthenware body. It is very rare to find this many pieces surviving together. The service consists of 4 saucers(approx. 4 1/4 in across), 3 cups(1 3/4 in. tall), creamer(3 in. tall), sugar with lid(approx. 3 in. tall), and teapot with lid(3 1/4 in. tall). The condition is as follows. The only real damage is to the teapot spout. See picture for condition. One cup has a very faint 1/2 in tight hairline. I have looked everything over very carefully and this is the only damage I can see. This has been a part of my personal collection for many years. It is now your turn to enjoy this rare and beautiful early tea set. Should you desire more pictures of specific items please contact me. Happy bidding.
