This is from the estate of a 90-year old woman that I am assisting. We have had this table photographically reviewed by the Furniture Department at Sotheby's who tell us that it is a Dutch maker and circa 1810-1830. They did not say whether it was made in the US or not. I have a very large portfolio of pictures that I can send you upon request or just a particular shot if requested. This owner has had the game table since the 1960's. When she purchased it t was an accompanying handwritten letter stating that it was owned by the 2nd Govenor of Michigan once upon a time. This letter will be included with the table too. This one-of-a-kind Hepplewhite Game Table measures 32 inches long, 30 1/2 inches tall and 16 1/2 inches wide. Weight would be approximately 25-30 pounds. Game playing table is a 33 inch square. The table has been treasured by many people and it's condition is a lot better than mine would be at this age. The inlay on the legs, sides and top are exceptional. It has not been restored and does have cracks and chips associated with climate, age and bumps. T is a slight discoloration of the game table playing top as one side faced the sunlight a little more than the other side. The legs do not appear to have been replaced nor restored.Shipping should be arranged and paid for by the buyer. Mover to be a professional moving service and item must be insured at full price.
