MINT JULEP CUP E. & D. KINSEY CINCINNATI, OHIO AND NEWPORT, KENTUCKY 1844 - 1861 COIN SILVER This auction is for a fine, heavily-wrought large coin silver julep cup by renowned makers Edward and David Kinsey of Newport, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. The silversmiths were active between 1819 and 1871, and were in partnership as E & D Kinsey between 1844 and 1861. The cup, which has never been monogrammed is in excellent original condition, with minor dents that could easily be removed and no apparent repairs. T are a few tarnish marks on the interior which have been substantially removed since the pictures were taken. The cup, which has great proportions and beautifully moulded rims measures 3 5/8 inches tall, 3 1/8 inches wide at the top rim and 2 5/8 inches wide at the bottom rim.
