Being offered is a vintage pair of Embury "Luck-E-Lite" #25 Truck Oil / Kerosene Lanterns, they were introduced to the trucking industry on Sept 22, 1937 for safety purposes for lighting at night. The lanterns are in very good condition (No dings or dents) showing little wear for their age with little to no rust and the decals on the front in tact with some light wear. The hinges, brackets and latches seem to be complete and in tact while both thumb-wheels do turn smoothly functioning properly but one needs a wick. Both of the lanterns are hallmarked on the top "Embury Mfg.Co. No.25 Luck-E-Lite D-105656 Warsaw N.Y. U.S.A". One of the red globes is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, the other has a large chip that runs even on the top rim which has no bearing on the globe itself and completely fuctional, the shade has no cracks. Each lantern stands 8 3/4" tall, 6" in diameter.
