According to information found in the case, this set dates to the year 2003 and, when issued, had minimum distribution indicating the set is relatively rare. Badges range in size from about 1 1/4" tall to 1" in diameter....some a little bigger; some a little smaller but all are relatively the same size. Set is complete and is in very good condition. Included is the original vinyl clad presentation case with its original cardboard box and a hinged wooden display box. The boxes all show some wear. Set consists of 12 individual badges representing the various ranks in the St Louis, MO Metropolitan Police department. Badges are not marked as to metal content but the first 7 (starting top left) in the case are gold in color while the remaining 5 are silver in color. Each is made of about 1/8" thick metal and each has a good clutch type fastener.
