Countess Cissy Zoltowska Assymetrical Rhinestone Collarette Suite detachable fur clip Original Box & Tag circa 1960s This assymetrical collarette has a wearable length of 15" (with extender chain, which is 3"). The drape is 4" in front. The detachable clip measures 1" wide and 1 1/4" long. The clip can be worn on the necklace (as shown) or worn on its own. The overall condition is EXCELLENT because very few of Cissy Zoltowska's collarettes were signed, so the original box and tag provide provenance. This is a judgment call so decide for yourself. Most of the close-up photographs are scanned in order to show the repairs in excruciatingly close detail. Both have a brass-type gunmetal finish on front, rhodium plating on reverse. The rhinestones are Swarovski and they all have an intricate setting. These were hand-set. The large "X" has soldered repairs. Photograph 5 shows the repairs from the front & #9 shows these from reverse. T are loose olivine rhinestones on the shorter drop. Photograph 6 shows this from the front & #10 from reverse. T are 14 plastic pearls that speak for themselves (and don't have a kind word to say). Photograph #7 shows condition from the front & #11 from reverse, Photograph 5 shows condition around the "X" w the repairs were done. T's one aurora borealis rhinestone that's kind of out t This is visible in photograph #5. Photographs #5 - 11 were scanned. The detachable fur clip is in excellent condition with all of the original stones in the prong settings. It looks spectacular on the collarette & adds wonderful dimension, this is shown in photographs # 2 & 12. The original diamond quilted box is in photograph 4. It's actually photographed upside-down, because the original silk lining is missing and was replaced with tissue. This isn't something that you see every day. T is a web site that shows a lot of Cissy's collarettes. She designed Balenciaga's costume jewelry for his couture shows for 15 years. Someone bought this, loved it, and wore it a lot.
