Up for auction are 17 Relics dug over the last twenty years in the Shenandoah Valley of Virgina. I dug these relics on private property and of course with the owners permission. I have been going to several locations for many years and still manage to come away with some nice items although they are getting harder to find. Most of these relics were dug from Union Infantry camps and picket posts, some were dug near or on several skirmish sites. This grouping contains (1) Iron Stirrup, (1) brass Flag Staff Tip, (1) musket nose cap, (1) brass sword hanger, (1) knapsack hook, (1) small buckle, (1) carved bullet made into a musket nipple protector, (1) ring (Gold Plate?) with strange design,(1) .58cal minie with a period nail driven through it (purpose ?), (2) Eagle Buttons both with loops on back, (3) Flat buttons all with loops, (2) metal shirt buttons and (1) small religious medal.
