Wonderful romantic ball gown designed from black taffeta and gray and black brocade satin. This gown will even sound romantic as you sweep across the dance floor. Being a plus size woman I know how hard it is to find a nice ball gown. is your chance. The bodice features a very slimming v-front panel of gray brocade that is lightly boned for shape and comfort. The butterfly pagoda sleeves are fashioned also out of the satin brocade and feature the most lovely of scallops and flower trims. The bodice laces up the back in period correct fashion. Back lacing area is boned and has a tucker panel so the gown will adjust to many sizes. (Just like the tuckers found in period gowns of the Civil War era.) The gown will turn heads coming or going because we have trimmed the back with reversable chevrons in the gray brocade satin. The reverse side shows black chevrons with gray roses. The black tafetta skirt was hand directional pleated then set into a waist band in a period correct method. The very voluminous sweep of this skirt measures 240 inchs!!!!!! Gown is shown over a 6 bone hoop ( hoop not included in auction) This gown can go up or down a few sizes because of the tucker at the back closing. The Sewing Betty that gown is shown on measures 38 waist 44 bust Fully closed measurements are 36 waist 40 Bust fully open at the tucker bodice measures Waist 40 Bust 44 Remember this bodices laces up the back so you can adjust w you need to let out and take in w you need it tighter with the laces Please if you have any questions please e-mail up Blessings
