Another wonderful item from a very large old estate collection of Civil War, Western, and Native American material. This is a very nicely framed and matted 8 by 10 1/4 original CDV of General Philip Henry Sheridan with a clipped signature. Sheridan was truly one of the top 10 most famous and influential figure in the Civil War and the 19th century...after the Civil Wars he was a key figure in the Mexican boarder dispute and the Indian Wars. Sheridan was the one responsible for implementing the "wipe out the buffalo...wipe out the Indians" idea......later he was responsible for maintaining order after the Great Chicago fire.....Google his name and look at his short biography...truly amazing item.... Great gift or item for collectionItem is guaranteed authentic ...CDV and signature....Framing and matting probably cost $100 plusEmail with any questions. Buyer to pay $8 S&H plus appr. insurance in CONUS..other based on costs. All auctions final unless item description in error. BID WITH CONFIDENCE CHECK MY FEEDBACK 7 YEARS 100%
