Here's a Rare find for any Indiana Civil War Historians, an old Photograph Album containing a total of 33 photos. 3 of which are Civil War Soldiers, all are standard CDV sized photos first of which shows a 12 year old Drummer Boy poised in his uniform and drum, on backside is the ID...Compliments Abe F. Springsteen, Company I. 63rd Regt, Ind Vols, 1862-1865. I can only imagine the images this young man saw as he served his country through the majority of the war at such a young age! (I did see a couple months back a photograph sell on ebay showing the survivors of this regiment poised together c1900-10 and I could ID this boy in the picture all grown up, maybe YOU are the person who purchased that picture??) I did just a little amount of research and found this boys full name being Abraham Springsteen or aka Springsteel and he enlisted as a Musician. Second photograph shows another young soldier who I would say maybe 16 years or ?? ID on back as B.R. Russell Co. G, 63rd Ind Vol, full name was Byron R. Russell, this photo was taken by Nicholson of Crawfordsville. Third photo shows an unidentified soldier, who appears to be posing in a Cocky Manner as his uniform is unbuttoned, has cigar in hand and he has a very confident look about him, stone cold eyes as well.
