Confederate times. 75 cent note issued by the City of RichmondApril 14, 1862. Many cities, states, companies, railroads issued money during the confederacy because all coins were hoarded and small notes were needed to make change. Reverse blank. Hand signed and numbered. 2 3/8 by 5 inches. Overall very good with foxing (brown spots). Guaranteed to be a genuine, original Southern Civil War note. In U. S. postage is $1.75. Insurance is $1.75 up to $50, $2.25 to $100, $2.75 to $200, $4.70 to $300, $5.70 to $500. Plus $1 per $100 after that. Foreign buyers postage and Registered Mail $12.85.
