This auction is for a dug Civil War Cannon Artillery Hook and Chain (one chain link) Relic from the Battle of Corinth, Mississippi. This is a very nice historic relic which would make an excellent stand-alone piece or compliment an artillery shell relic display nicely! I originally purchased this relic from a relic dealer in Corinth, Mississippi and it was rusty in it's straight-out-of-the-ground state. I had Civil War author and historian Charles Harris clean and preserve this piece for me. The photo shown above of the relic with the rust was how it looked before the restoration. You will recieve the relic in it's restored and preserved state (please refer to photos of relic with the purple backdrop for it's restored state). Verbal provenance only as I received no written provenance when I originally made purchase. A really nice piece that you don't see very often! With a low, low starting bid and no reserve, this one is going home with someone! Would make a great Christmas gift! Please check out my other auctions for more great Civil War relics and books.
