This was definately a fighting dagger! Don't know much about it. The OAL is 10" and the carbon steel blade is 5 7/8" long. It was sharpened on both sides but is kinda dull now. Point is pretty sharp. There is almost no rust, just light pitting, and alot of age patina. Hand guard and pommel are solid brass. The handle looks like North Carolina black walnut (very tight grain). There are 3 sets of ring turnings in the wood that match the rings in the pommel. No nicks, chips, gings, or cracks anywhere in the blade or handle. I love knives and think this one is pretty sweet!
