This auction is for a Littlefield and Parson Daguerreotype Union case with an Ambrotype photo. The case features a man and a woman playing a game of chess. The case is in nice condtion. The chess players are on the front of the case. The back of the case has a pretty floral cross design. The case is a 1/9th plate. In the Paul Berg, 2nd Edition book on cases this is referenced as "A Game of Chess" and is numbered 1-162. The gilt edging is marked with the makers name of Dean & Emerson, Worcester, MA no.17. The phot itself is a gentleman with pink rose tinted cheeks. The photo is in excellent condtion. Please be sure to check out our other vintage photos.
