Wonderful early country scales complete and original with a 16 ½” blacksmith wrought iron beam and tinned sheet iron pans. The pans measure 8 1/2” and 9 7/8” in diameter and are of the early lapped seam soldered construction that early toll collectors look for. The smaller pan has had a small piece of sheet lead soldered to the under side for balance with four period copper wire reinforcements laced in to secure the bottom in place. All period and as found with lots of eye appeal this piece is a nice country kitchen, or store item that would go well as a camp, or regimental sutler accessory for the Civil War era collector. A neat decorator for the home. please note: ALL ITEMS ARE CURRENT & AVAILABLE UNLESS MARKED SOLD!!.
