is your chance to own a one-of-a-kind Civil War GAR clock !! This is an Gilbert Admiral Model with outstanding paper. The clock is all original, including the finish, except the paper dial has been replaced (dial pan original) and the glass in the upper door. The plate attached to the clock reads "Presented to Stoker Post GAR Geo A Deihlman". The Stoker Post was in Findlay, Ohio. Written on the back of the clock in pencil is "Sold De 24 90 ELE". I am certain this clock was purchased from the E L Entrikin Jewelry shop in Findlay, Ohio on December 24 (Christmas Eve) in 1890 and presented to the Stoker GAR Post in Findlay on Christmas to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the ending of the Civil War in 1865. The clock was cleaned by the E L Entrikin Jewelry Shop on 6-15-1909 (see sticker on back). In the photo it's hard to see the pencil writting on the back, but it is very plain to read in normal light. T are 2 empty holes near the legs of the works on the right side. The legs of the works can be rotated to fit these empty holes perfectly. I guarantee these are the correct works and not a marriage. Shipping to be determined based on w you live with no hidden extras. Please pay by certified check or money order. Satisfaction Guaranteed.
