Up for auction is an authentic autograph and picture of Confederate General Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard, "The Little Napoleon". General Beauregard was appointed Brigadier General of the Confederate States Army in 1861 and assigned to command the Southern forces at Charleston, South Carolina. This item belonged to a lifelong collector of Civil War memorabilia. It was purchased at the Chicago Book & Art Auctions as part of 22 autographs in Sale No. 15, Lot No. 163 sometime during the 1930's or 40's and has just been discovered in storage after sixty years! The entire piece is in very good condition, with both the picture and the autograph attached on the left-hand side with mounting tape. The photo and border measures 6" by 7 1/2" on a background measuring 8" by 11". The autograph measures 3/4" by 3". Please email me if you have any questions. Satisfaction Guaranteed!
