An original Civil War letter written by a soldier named E. Norton. I looks like it is dated May 1863 from Virginia. Some of his writing is a little hard to read, I translated the best I could. In one area it looks like he says, ........thare has ben meny thousand fallen in this old State and meny more will if it is my lot to fall you must not feel bad for it will be in defense of my Country we have got to fight.........
