Cover, postally used, overall printed in grayish brown, with illustration at left of the Wisconsin State Seal with sailor & farmer, and with "MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE OF THE STATE OF WISCONSIN, MILWAUKEE" printed above, with 1862 dated KENOSHA/WIS double-circle postmark and #65 3c rose (small faults) tied by black target cancel. Addressed to J.G. McKinelley, Whitewater, Wis. Imprint on backflap of "Manufactured by B.E. Hale & Sons, Beloit, Wis.". A scarce Civil War date advertising cover utilizing a patiotic motif. Opened a bit rough at left edge, into a small part of the illustration and printing. About Fine. I accept Paypal or Money Order in payment.
