Confederate Holster This quality Civil War-style holsters is based on the original military issue pieces, embossed with the US or CS logo as appropriate. The US version is black, while the CS model is in oiled natural leather. Both are available in right and left hand models. The holsters can also be worn on the opposite side with the butt forward. These holsters are made to fit the Civil War Army and Navy Colts (also available), but will accommodate many similar weapons. Length: 12" Width: 7" Civil War Revolver Introduced in 1850 and made through 1873, the total production of this revolver was about 255,000 pieces. This cap-and-ball revolver fired six 36 caliber balls, and a loading mechanism was incorporated into the design. This non-firing replica has the handling characteristics of the original, with functional lock and loading mechanisms. It was made in the grey and "navy" finish. I'm not sure if this particular model was originally made by Griswold & Gunnison or Colt or both. is some more info provided by an informed eBayer: (Thanks Ray) This replica brass-framed Civil War pistol is a version of the Griswald & Gunnison Type that were made by contract to the Confederacy in Georgia, and only 500 or so were ever made between 1862 & 1864, and only about a dozen now survive or exist in various museums and private collections
