Up for auction is an original CDV / Picture of a Civil War Soldier. This image was found in a book containing the roster of Ohio Soldiers in the Civil War. The back of Photo holder has - My Grandfather Shaffer written on it. The page it was found on had this entry noted in book by a pencil arrow; Under the Heading of 126th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry - Shaffer, Joseph M - Co. K - 1st Lieut. - Died February 18, 1863 - Buried Winchester VA. - Remarks Died at Martinsburg, W. Va.. The photo image is contained in a cabinet card that has; A Portrait by D E Agler - Van Wert Ohio - on the front flap. The photo is 10 inches tall and almost 4 inches wide. This is a great image of the history of this country and is in EXCELLENT condition! I will include the book this was found in! The book looks to be printed in the 1800's. Please ask questions before you bid, I try to describe items as accurately as possible but I may miss things, I am not an expert in all areas.
