This auction is for 2 ambrotypes of Civil War Soldiers. The largest is a 1/6 size measuring 3 1/4" x 2 1/2". What make it rare is that it is on ruby glass. You can see it when you hold it to the light. It appears to be a photo of an officer. The photo has significate smudging around the neck area. I don't know if it can be cleared up or not. The second ambrotype is quite dark. The photo I have posted is fairly accurate. It measures 2 1/2" x 2". It too appears to be an officer with his kepi. On both photos the buttons are very visible. There is no returns on these ambrotypes. Thanks for looking.
